While COVID-19 affects the operations of rescue groups in the United States and other parts of the world, the Detroit Pit Crew stands ready to continue to reach out to any pups in need.
This time it was a puppy with shaggy fur who came to the door of a house in very bad condition. He cried and asked for help a little, fortunately coincidentally in the right place, so the subject did not hesitate to help.
He cried until someone decided to give him what he needed most: help.
The man decided to call the Detroit Pit Crew volunteers and luckily, they did not hesitate for a single second to come to his aid. His rescuers are still on the streets, taking all possible precautions and saving abandoned pets .
After taking the dog to their shelter, they enlisted the support of Animal Control Chief Brian Pylar (who also runs a grooming shop called Bubbles n Barks) to help the pup, who they named Luigi.
They immediately organized everything so that the good old Luigi received a good haircut . It was extremely matted and on it were traces of fecal matter and urine. It was lucky that the puppy had no skin lesions or infections, being in such a dirty state.
After several minutes of working with Luigi, the animal rescue volunteers removed more than three pounds of dirty , matted hair.
Luigi was very good while they got rid of all that layer of dirty hair
They joked among themselves that “ apparently there was a little dog under all that tangle! And a very sweet puppy, we must delimit!»
After his necessary haircut, Luigi was taken to the vet to check his health and everything seems to indicate that the little one is doing quite well.
Despite his sad look and nervous expression, Detroit Pit Crew volunteers believe the pup will make great strides in a foster home .
Luigi will need specialist care to bring him back to his health before handing him over to a loving family . He has to learn how to live with people, as well as experience how kind and gentle people can be, to overcome fear and sadness.
This boy is on his way to a better and happier life
This shows us that we cannot be seduced by appearances. Luigi looks ugly with his messy, messy hair, but turns out to be an adorable little dog, ready for a lot of affection. Share their stories on your social networks!
