Dan Targonsk is a dedicated postman who has always felt a strong connection to animals. Over the years, he’s gotten used to encountering all sorts of pets on his way to work . Sometimes it’s a kitten lying on the mailbox, but on other occasions he encounters puppies that are in danger of their lives and need his help. One of the cases that touched him the most was the case of a boxer dog named Kuperus.
The dog was found in the city of Philadelphia, USA.
Dan found her tied to a tree in the middle of an extremely hot day. She looked very thin and didn’t even have a little water or food to stand the test of time. As he got closer, he understood that it was something much more serious . The dog was very dirty and had an alarming head wound that appeared to have been made with a sharp object.
The dog broke nine teeth when it was rescued.
Despite having to follow a strict workflow , Dan decided to take the time to help her out. The first thing he did was get some water to relieve himself a bit and then he contacted the rescuers from Rescue Boxers .
Through Rescue Boxer has been operating in 10 US states for 15 years.
It was there that they decided to call her Kuperus and within minutes they realized that she was one of the loveliest dogs in the entire history of the Shelter. Her situation was delicate, so she was rushed to the operating room .
“We closed his wound and put in a drain. His jaw was also broken . We managed to stabilize her.”
Kuperus’ radiant personality soon reached everyone’s ears. Many people came to see her and were deeply moved by her strong desire to live despite her arduous past.
“What he wants most in the world is contact and affection . It never ceases to impress me that it is so. Even after a human hurt him so much.”
She managed to recover in a temporary home and after a few months she was ready to move to a permanent one. She now has a loving family that will take care of her and whose main purpose is to help her forget those difficult days that she had to go through.
The postman usually visits the dog and the beautiful Kuperus runs to meet her with great excitement.
