This house was designed to meet the needs of a young couple with their young children. The first challenge was to overcome the steep slope: for this, the house was divided into 3 levels, determining their respective uses: 1st level (half buried) – garage/services, 2nd level (ground floor at street level) for social use and the 3rd (highest) level to the intimate area.
From these premises arose the volumes that mark the project. A large prestressed concrete box houses the social entrance of the house. A horizontal panel of corten steel extends across the front facade and opens onto the main living room, which interacts directly with the balcony and the pool, generating maximum integration between the environments. Two smaller boxes, which make up the suites and the home office, intersect on the upper floor.
The landscape is lush with very tropical foliage providing privacy and protection to the pool. As the sun is an important factor, there is greater concern about the facades, so we treat the openings with wooden trusses that serve as a filter for the afternoon sun. On the gourmet terrace, large steel parasols control the entry of the morning sun.
