No one is saying that dealing with a breakup is easy, but it’s completely unacceptable that innocent pets pay a heavy price, being left alone without understanding why they di‌ed. parents overnight.

That’s what happened to a couple recently and what they did to their pet, it really doesn’t have a name.

The events took place on a farm, in the area of Los Bañuelos de Almuñécar, Granada (Spain).

It was an Americanordordshire Terrier that was left to fend for itself on the property where it lived with its owner. He was detained, without food or water. All because apparently the young couple ended their relationship. And they couldn’t think of a better solution to getting over the breakup than leaving the house and taking the dog with them.

The irresponsible owners are a 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old girl of English descent.

The young man’s mother , a 55-year-old woman living with the couple, was also involved. After finishing her son’s courtship, she also decided to leave with him at the end of June. While the girl went another way, leaving everything behind.

But the most unusual and strange thing is that no one “remembers” the puppy, a lovely fluffy dog bought by the couple to live on the farm.

The truth was reported by an animal defender to SEPRONA of the Civil Guard and the military immediately arrived to investigate what the matter was.

What they saw left them devastated.

They were able to verify that the dog was on a leash less than a meter long, and that in addition to not being given food or water, it was in poor sanitary condition ; and as if that weren’t enough, he doesn’t have a microchip.

The 55-year-old woman, her son or her ex-girlfriend didn’t bother going back to the place to clean it, free it, or give it a drop of water. It is unacceptable!

Therefore, the People’s Protection Force has brought to trial the 3 subjects being investigated. They can be accused of being the perpetrators of an action  against the protection of flora, fauna and livestock.

The good news is that the as‌sociation for the Protection of Forgotten Animals Motril has taken care of the dog.

We really hope this adorable puppy, a breed often stigmatized as potentially dangerous, finds the permanent home he deserves.

What harm can a puppy do if it unfortunately has terrible creatures in its possession? Please share this news and say NO to animal abandonment.
